Alan M. ”Mike” Michael Segura Sr. age 49 of Shamrock died Friday September 16, 2011.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Shamrock, TX. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St. Amarillo, TX.
Alan was born on June 1, 1962 to F. L. Segura Sr and Elvira Guzman in Del Rio, TX. He lived in Shamrock and surrounding areas all his life. He enjoyed being a Drill Instructor at Canadian Juvenile Boot Camp. He married Teresa Mounce in Shamrock on February 14, 1983. The family would like to give special thanks to Odyssey Hospice, Peggy Devereaux and Sherman Eastland for the loving care they provided.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jessica Ware of Shamrock and Jennifer Ruiz of Austin; one son, Alan M Segura, Jr. of Shamrock; two sisters, Patti Cannon of Shamrock and Gracie Payne of Shamrock; five brothers, Flecy Segura of Shamrock, Ben Segura of Amarillo, Johnny Segura of Amarillo, Leo Segura of Amarillo and Gilbert Segura of Tulia; granddaughter Klaire Ware; grandsons, Bryson Ware and Wade Ruiz.
Family suggest memorials be made to Odyssey Hospice, American Diabetes Association or National Kidney Foundation.
