Amanda "Mandy" Nicole Hogan, 33, of Amarillo passed away on January 31, 2022.
A celebration of Amanda's life will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10am at Northside United Pentecostal Church, 2424 N. Mirror St in Amarillo.
Amanda was born on April 13, 1988 in Gainsville, Texas to John Spencer and Debrah Lynn (Gappa) Hogan. The family relocated to Amarillo where Amanda attended Palo Duro High School. She served in the restaurant business as a hostess and waitress for much of her younger adult life. Amanda was a great mother and loving wife who always went out of her way to help others. To say it best, she was kind to a fault.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandmother Joyce Johnson and Grandfather Tim Hogan. Those left to cherish her memories are her spouse Danny Joe Cowan Jr, daughter Trinity Nicole Cowan, sons Danny Joe III and John Spencer Cowan all of Amarillo; her sisters Amber Lynn and Ashley Dawn Hogan of Florida and Amarillo respectively, and her parents Spencer and Debbie Hogan of Amarillo. Amanda also leaves behind many other loving family and dear friends.
Mourn not for me, I am with you still
My touch lives in the breeze that you feel
My gaze is upon you when the sun warms your skin
And my love is more present than it’s ever been
When you are sad, and not sure what to do
Just know that I am close and I mourn with you
When you are excited about a new path you are about to trod
I am there rejoicing in the eyes of God
I am right with you, through foe or fiend
And I am resting near the sunlight’s bend
Just after a rain, and that particular smell is in the air
That’s where you will find me, yes right there
But gone I will never be
I am just moving on to the next step, eternity
