Betty Jo Leonard, 70, of Amarillo passed away December 19, 2022.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St.  Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Pentacostal Temple Church of God in Christ with Pastor Elijah B. Demerson officiating.

Betty was born July 24, 1952 in Childress, Texas. She graduated from JJ Rollins High School of Childress then entered the United States Army. After becoming a mother to three children, she became a homemaker. Betty enjoyed playing bingo and cards. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved being around her family. Betty was a faithful member of her church until her health prevented her from attending but would often praise God by singing “Leave it in the Lords Hands.” Betty lived at the VA Medical center for the past seven years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Douglas Crow Sr.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Dwanda Jones of Fort Worth; two sons, James Cruthers of Amarillo and Michael Davis of Waco; 7 grandchildren, Titania Herron, Tenayz Barnes, and Brittany Davis; 9 great-grandchildren; and god-daughter Carolyn Daniel.
