Debbie Beulah Kennedy, age 52 of Amarillo, died Friday, October 5, 2012.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, October 8, 2012 at Chapel of the Angels, Angel Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Debbie was born April 30, 1960 in Jensen Holler, Pineville, KY to Robert and Cassie Grubbs. She was proud to be a “Coal Miner’s Daughter”.
Growing up, she and her brothers played in the smoky mountains near the Cumberland Gap. She was a loving wife and mother. She never met a stranger and was the life of any party. She loved working in her yard and flower gardens. She took pride in having the prettiest yard on the block. Debbie was a bartender at Polly’s Pub, Route 66 and Lydia’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, PB Grubbs and her mother in law, Retha Kennedy.
She is survived by her husband, Terry of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Jennifer Carwyle and husband Chris of Myrtle, MS and Katie Estes and boyfriend Alex Jones of Amarillo; 5 brothers, Wendell Grubbs and wife Jewell, Bobby Grubbs and wife Ginger, Elzie Grubbs and wife Michelle, Hick Grubbs and wife Ginger, all of Pineville, KY and Beau Grubbs and wife Faye of Tazewell, TN; a sister in law, Pat Grubbs of Ludowici, GA; a step daughter, Jennifer Harbison and husband BJ of Canyon, TX; 2 grandsons, Gunter Carwyle and Kelton Harbison and a granddaughter, Laken Carwyle.
