Bisente O Perez

Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Angel Funeral Home,  2209 S. Arthur.Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2010 at Iglesia Bethel Church, 1601 S. Arthur.  Pastor Bennie Lucero Jr will officiate.  Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.Bisente was born on September 20, 1945 to Juan and Thomasa Perez in Oswald, Texas.  He married Julie in Morton, Texas in 1975.  The family lived in Lubbock when Bisente met Ricky Romero.  Ricky convinced him he had a future in wrestling, so he moved the family to Amarillo and began his professional wrestling career as “Hellraiser” and “Cobra.”  Before his wrestling career and throughout he supported his family by truck driving.  He was devoted to his family and friends.  He enjoyed life, considering himself a comedian, always joking and having fun with his friends and family.  Bisente was mechanically inclined and could work on anything and he also worked as a salesman at M & A auto sales.  A man of many talents, but foremost he was a family man cherishing his wife and children.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christie Perez in 2008.Bisente is survived by wife, Julie of the home; 4 daughters, Diana Tabitha Perez of Lubbock; Lisa Perez, Rita Perez, and Victoria Perez all of Amarillo; 3 sons, Joe Ray Perez of Dallas, Richard Perez of Olton, and David Perez of Lubbock; 3 sisters, Minerva Banda of Fort Worth, Rosa Cordova and Angie Dutha of Houston; 3 brothers, Ignacio Perez of Victoria, Juan Perez of Ft. Worth, and Rick Perez of Victoria; 15 grandchildren:  Ericka, Richard, Setephan, Julianna, Albert, Jr., Brandon, Tyra, Kora, Karissa, Keirra, Joe Ray, Jr., Alexis, Ian, and Briana; and 2 great-grandchildren.
