A private memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2021 at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.
Carol was born May 30, 1956 in Espanola, New Mexico to Tranquilino and Adelina Arguello- Fernandez where she grew up and attended high school. At the age of 23, she decided to relocate to Amarillo with her two daughters Gwen and Yolanda. She then married Jesse Espinosa, Jr. and had two additional children, Juanita “Rebecca” and Jesse Anthony. Carol was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe for several years but attended several churches throughout the city. Carol’s love and faith for the Lord was so immense and everyone knew it. She was a homemaker until 1986 when she began her career as a CNA then LVN for the next 20 years. Carol was an honest, loving, giving, hardworking woman who always put others needs before her own. Caring for others was her true calling. She loved and cared for patients like they were her family. She was also certified in praying over patients and others who requested prayer even on her days off.
When Carol wasn’t working, she enjoyed reading the bible, going fishing, watching her novelas, and listening to music. She especially loved to dance! When opportunity arose to go back to her hometown to see friends and family, she’d pack a bag and made sure she never forgot her lipstick. On her visits home, she loved eating the traditional New Mexican foods. Red and green chili and pinon being some of her favorites. She also enjoyed visiting the Santuario in Chimayo, and playing at the casinos.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tranquilino Fernandez and Adelina Arguello-Fernandez; and several brothers and sisters.
Carol is survived by her four children, daughter Gwen and Lawrence Baca, daughter Yolanda and Miguel Arredondo, daughter Rebecca and Joe Robledo and son Anthony Espinosa; ten grandchildren, Isaac Baca, Santos Suarez, Antonio Baca, Monica Suarez, Adrianna Espinosa, Marissa Chavez, Lauren Baca, Karina Chavez, Phelix Suarez and Emiliana Suarez; and one great-grandson, Dextre Dior Baca who she adored.
