Carol Jean (Davis) WilliamsMrs. Carol Jean Williams died March 7, 2011, at her home in Amarillo, Texas.Carol Jean was born Carol Jean Davis in Stockton, California, on October 27, 1942, and was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Davis and Valta Mae Shock Davis. After living in Enola and Mountain Home, Arkansas, with her family, she graduated from Branson High School in 1961. After high school, she attended Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas, and Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, Arkansas, where she received her degree in education. Her home for the past few years was in Amarillo, Texas. Carol was the widow of Johnny Williams of Ft. Worth, Texas. She was also preceded in death by her parents.Survivors include a daughter, Selena Malone, of Houston, Texas, and two sons; Scott Andrew Williams (Evelyn) and Jeffrey Craig Malone, both of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers, Lyle E. Davis, of Haskell, Oklahoma, and Erwin L. Davis, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and other relatives and friends.Cremation services are under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., Amarillo, Texas.
