Catherine Elizabeth Zuniga

Catherine Elizabeth Zuniga , age 71, peacefully passed away November 20, 2020.

Memorial mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral, 1200 Washington. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.

Catherine was born on July 14, 1949 in Clayton, New Mexico to Archie and Emma Salazar. She graduated from Dalhart High School in 1969. Catherine was a very loving friend, sister and
daughter. She worked for many years in nursing facilities in Dalhart and Amarillo as a medication aide servicing the elderly with compassion. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost; her primary love was her son Andrew. Catherine was married in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

She was preceded in death by both parents, three sisters, Juanita Salazar, Gloria Harkins, Josie Aragon and two brothers, Archie and David Salazar.

Catherine is survived by her son, Andrew, four sisters, Mary Salazar of Amarillo, Joan Islas of Burleson, Carolyn Herrera and Regina Maldonado of Albuquerque; three brothers, Albert Salazar, Louis Salazar both of Albuquerque and Sammie Salazar of Dalhart; along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Cathy will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts!
