Daniel Rodriguez “Dangerous Dan”, age 57, of Amarillo died Sunday, December 2, 2012.
Rosary will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Chapel of the Angels, Angel Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass is Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Jose Gomez as celebrant. Burial is at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Daniel was born June 14, 1955 in Amarillo to Marcos Rodriguez and Petra Heredia Alonzo.
“Dangerous Dan”, as he was known by many of his youth, was a good hearted, generous, funny man. He was adored by his family and he loved his children and his grandchildren. He always told them that they meant the world to him. Prior to an injury that left him wheel chair bound over 30 years ago, he loved to dance and still loved to show his granddaughters how it was done. He enjoyed playing bingo, shooting pool, singing and boxing. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father Marcos several years ago and by his mother, Petra Alonzo just last week.
He is survived by; 1 daughter, Angie Rodriguez and Leon Deolloz; 1 son, Jesse John Rodriquez and wife Tami, all of Amarillo; 1 sister, Teresa Minjarez; 2 brothers, Louis Rodriguez and Armando Rodriguez; 4 grandchildren, Sabrina Rodriguez, A.J. Garcia, Shiann Ruiz and Julissa Garcia; a special nephew, Chris Rodriguez as well as other nephews and nieces who loved him dearly.
