Domingo Mendoza

Domingo “Apa” Mendoza, 82, of Amarillo died Friday, October 22, 2010.  Domingo was born on March 11, 1928 in Mexico.  He moved to Hereford, Texas in 1964 after his wife’s death to support his family of two.  He then remarried in 1975 to Ida Villegas.  He then moved to Amarillo and resided here in town for several years.  He moved to Balmorhea, Texas where he spent a better part of his life.  Domingo “Apa” was a very outgoing person, he loved to sing and play guitar in his spare time.  He was a hard worker and loved his family very much.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers and three sons.Survivors include three daughters, three sons, one brother, one sister, and fourteen grandchildren.
