Don “Unc” Provence, of Pampa, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Amarillo.

Unc was born on August 27, 1947 in Bridgeport to Maxi and Mary Provence. He proudly served in the U. S. Army for eight years. He married Shirley Jordan on September 1, 1979 in Bridgeport.
They lived in Brideport briefly. He moved to Pampa a few years ago to live with his niece, Lori Voss.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; his sister, Billie Pittman; his nephews, Terry Green and Leon Pittman; his brother in law, James Coffer; and his father in law and mother in law, Vernie and Lillie Mae Jordan.
Survivors include his sisters, Bobbie Green and husband, Ray, of Pampa and Bettye Coffer of Ft. Worth; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to express their gratitude to his caregivers, Darby Sweet, Patty Petker, and Jonnita Rogers Parks, as well as those at the VA Hospital.
