Edmundo Murillo

Edmundo Martinez Murillo, 64, of Hereford, passed away on September 10, 2023.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur in Amarillo.

Edmundo was born on December 18, 1958 in Hereford, Texas to Secundino and Amelia (Martinez) Rangel Murillo. He was a talented guitar player who loved to play whenever and wherever possible. He was very involved with the church band and enjoyed playing in Sunday worship. Aside from his talents as a musician, Edmundo was also a very talented carpenter. He loved to work with his hands, building or repairing anything he could. He found great pleasure in building birdhouses, model houses, and many other things out of little wooden matches.

Edmundo is preceded in death by his parents, brother Pablo Murillo, sisters Ernestina Aguilar and Amelia Diaz, Trinidad Murillo, and Segundino Jr., as well as twin sisters Maria Elena and Rosa Elena Murillo. Those left to cherish his memories are his brothers Balentine Murillo and his wife Connie, Apolonio Murillo, Eliseo Murillo and his wife Maria, sister Carmen Murillo, and many other family and dear friends.
