Elizabeth O Slusar

February 23, 1976 — April 20, 2021

Elizabeth O Slusar, 45, departed from this world on April 20, 2021. She was surrounded in love by her friends and family. Elizabeth will be best remembered for her love and loyalty to her family, friends, and pets.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Peter Slusar, whom she married in May of 2004.  She and Peter lived in the Broadview, NM, Texico, NM, and Grady, NM communities until moving to Hereford, TX, in 2016.

She is survived by her children Shelby Mote, Hunter (Ty) Mote, Dillon Mote, Draelyn Slusar, Xaia Slusar, Rokhai Slusar, Kyobi Slusar. Her grandchildren, Roper Ruiz, Jacob Guthrie, Harlei Franklin, Optimus Alvarado, Justice Alvarado, Deagan Mote, Hunter (Mikey) Mote, Layla Norris, and Faith Norris.

Elizabeth loved animals of all kinds, and stated the Giraffe was one of her favorite. She had an encyclopedic brain and could tell you anything you wanted to know about animals. Her house has always been full of pets, and she left behind 18 Dachshunds, 1 Rottweiler, 3 cats, 5 rats, 2 prairie dogs, 2 birds, 3 chickens, several fish, and hermit crabs. She has had a successful dog breeding business in which she started first with Dalmatians, then Great Danes, and currently Dachshunds.

Elizabeth enjoyed playing games, watching movies, going on outings, and vacations with her children. She enjoyed date nights with Peter, and Twisted Sister trips with her sisters. She loved her music, and crime shows especially Criminal Minds. She loved flowers and planted them in the spring. She was very artistic, she could draw, she wrote poetry, and most recently she made custom tumbler cups.

Elizabeth was born in Friona TX, on February 23, 1976 to Douglas Mote and Susan Journagan Mote. She was the third of 3 daughters and is survived by her Father, Douglas Mote, her older sisters Tisha Mote, and Amanda Long. Elizabeth is also survived by numerous relatives in Canada.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2021 at Angel Funeral Home in Amarillo, TX.
