“Curly” Elvin J. Gann, 66 of Amarillo died Tuesday, July 12, 2011.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, July 15 at 1:00 PM at Llano Cemetery with Reverend John Shaddick, of Arena of Life, Cowboy Church officiating. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Curly was born in Dodge City, Kansas to Ernest and Evelyn Gann. He married Barbara Dowd in 1961. He was a brick layer until retirement. He was a loving father, grandfather and caretaker of his late mother and younger brother.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Gann; sons, Jeremiah and Tracy Gann; a daughter, Kathleen Gann; granddaughter Brandi Demoss; parents, Ernest E. and Evelyn M. Gann; sister, Margaret Duke; brothers, Ray Gann and David J. Gann.
Survivors include a daughter, Geneva Delois Spruill and her husband Billy; two sons, “Tiny” Gann, David Lee Gann and his wife Sheila; a brother, Ronald Gann; and a sister, Ernestine Ackley; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews who all love him dearly. He will be greatly missed.
