Eva Hopwood

On Wednesday, January 8, 2020, Eva Jo Hopwood (Jodie), loving mother of three children, passed away at age 73.

A Memorial will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the 5500 SW 34th Amarillo, TX 79109 from 3-6. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.

Eva was born on June 7, 1946 in Athens, TX to Bill Bearden and Bertha (Monroe) Evans. April 1, 1962, she married William E Martin. They raised two sons, Will and Jason, and one daughter, Kelly.

Eva had a passion for helping everyone. She created a library at her nursing home (Landmark of Amarillo), in order to give the residents a place to read, play games, or just hang out. She also loved to watch the Blue Jays outside her window. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Eva is survived by her three children, Will, Jason, and Kelly, Thirteen Grandchildren, her brother CR and several cousins, and niece Christy.
