Evelyn Jeanette Proby

Evelyn was born on Dec. 12, 1950 in Quanah, Texas to George Proby and Beatrice Moore Proby. She was raised and educated in Quanah. She moved to Amarillo in 1970 and was involved in the housekeeping industry until her retirement. Evelyn enjoyed playing pool and providing loving care to her children and grandchildren. She attended Jersulaem Church of God in Christ.She was proceeded in death by her parents and a sister Lula Easter.She is survived by two sons, George Johnson and wife Siglinda of Amarillo. Daishai Hicks of Plainview and a daughter Erica Shaw of Denver, CO;  three sisters, Nuggie Woods and Sandra Morris of Amarillo and Verna Burns of Shreveport, La; and a host of nieces and nephews.
