Frances D. “Pancha” Tavera, age 64, of Bovina, formerly of Artesia, died November 24, 2011 in Amarillo.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church in Bovina. Another memorial service will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace in Artesia, New Mexico.
Pancha was born in Stockton, California, to Sisinio and Alberta Gonzalez on March 23, 1947. She was a person who touched many lives with her infectious laughter and care. Pancha was always willing to help out anyone in any way. She loved to chat for hours and could reminisce for days on end. She was strong, a bit stubborn, yet a kind hearted lady that will be missed by all who knew her.
Pancha was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one granddaughter.
She leaves behind her husband, John Tavera; her five children, Ruby Lozada of Plymouth, OR; Mickey Munoz of Bovina; Jeanette Silva of Bovina; John Tavera III of Sacramento, CA; and Jason Tavera of Artesia, NM; 14 brothers and sisters; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
