George Eugene “Gene” Mason, age 74 of Borger died January 3, 2013.
Memorial Services are set for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 10 at First Assembly of God, 500 Mackenzie in Stinnett. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Gene was born April 16, 1938 to Charles A. and AdaMaude (Bayless) Mason in Bartlesville, OK.
He came from Bartlesville to Borger with his family in 1946. He served in a U.S. Army Intel Unit and was honorably discharged. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum for many years as a leadoff yardman. He was a kind and generous man and our family takes comfort that he is with his Lord and Savior and will be waiting for us.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Charles Stanley.
He is survived by 2 sons, John Christopher of Borger and Homer Timothy and Angelia Mason of Mustang, OK. 4 sisters, Jo Mason of Oklahoma City, OK, Judith Parker of Crowley, TX, Joan Savage and husband Errol of Duncanville, TX, Rosalie Overbay and husband Don of Borger, TX, 1 brother, Tom Mason of Crowley, TX; 3 grandsons, Tim Mason of Germany, Dustin and Trey Mason of Mustang, OK; 2 granddaughters, Chelsea Clement and husband Allen, of Yukon, OK and Tiffany Mason of Mustang, OK; 1 great-grandson, Jake of Mustang, OK; 2 aunts and many nieces and nephews that will miss him.
