SHIP OUT TO PARIS, TEXASFuneral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Paris, TX.  Rev. Joe Battle, will officiate. Burial will be held at Restlawn Cemetery, Paris, TX.  George was born on August 22, 1961, in Paris, Texas, to James Henry and Mary Ruth Wooten Mickens. He was a fun, loving man who enjoyed basketball, singing, dancing and making people laugh. He is preceded in death by his father, James Henry Mickens. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Pipkins of Amarillo, TX; his mother, Mary Ruth Mickens of Paris, TX; his daughter, Menyana Hill of Paris, TX; his son, Darrian Jones of Amarillo, TX; his step daughter, Tiffany Randle of Amarillo, TX; his step son, Jermaine Pipkins of Amarillo, TX; his sisters, Leasa Mickens of Paris, TX, Geneva Coleman of Detroit, TX, and Brandy Mickens of Paris, TX; his brothers, Ricky Mickens and wife, Becky, Darryel Mickens and wife, Sylvia, and Stacey Mickens all of Paris, TX; and his six grandchildren.
