Gloria Irene (Barela) Penalbar

Gloria Irene Penalbar, 70, of Amarillo passed away on January 14, 2022.

A private memorial will be held at a later time.

Gloria was born on January 05, 1952 in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico to Fermin and Estella (Maestas) Barela. Gloria loved to attend her Sunday Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral where she was a member. She loved her children and enjoyed listening to Tejano Music. Gloria loved her movies and TV shows that she watched with her loyal companion Cena, her dog.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Estella Chacon and Fermin Barela, and sister Rose Mendoza. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Mary Barela and husband William Robers and their daughter Baylee Roberts, son Michael Barela and fiancé Angie Flores and their daughter Mia Barela; and of course her beloved Cena.
