James "Jim" Ross Fulton

May 26, 1959 — September 5, 2020

James Ross Fulton, born on May 26, 1959 passed away at age 61 on September 5, 2020 after a lifelong battle with various medical conditions.  James also went by Jim, Jimmy, Jamie, and Jars.  The last moniker was bestowed upon him by his oldest nephew, Alex Nassif when he was still learning to speak, and could not say "J.R."

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Hobart Steele and (Flora) Wanda Steele of Hawthorne, California; grandparents Raymond Fulton and Lou Emma Fulton of Hawthorne, California; parents Gene Ray Fulton and Billie Jane Fulton of Hawthorne, California; father-in-law Sherwood Rodrigues of Paradise, California; mother-in-law Shirley Rodrigues of Bend, Oregon; Uncle George Fulton of Green Valley, California; Uncle Robert Fulton of Smith River, California; Uncle Bud Rapella and Aunt Betty Rapella of Green Valley, California; brother-in-law Samir Nassif of West Los Angeles, California; sister-in-law Joyce Kaanapu of Honolulu, Hawaii; cousin Sandra Jones of Roswell, New Mexico; and cousin Tim Rapella of Oakland, California.

He is survived by his wife Judy Fulton of Amarillo, Texas; son Jared Allen of Amarillo, Texas; sister Sharon Nassif of West Los Angeles, California; brother Steven Fulton and sister-in-law Mary Fulton of Burkburnett, Texas; 14 nephews and 8 nieces, their spouses and their children.

From the time he was a baby, he demonstrated a very strong love for all things related to trains.  As he grew up and grew older, he let it be known how much he enjoyed everything about trains; from their history to their legends to their workings, even tinkering with model railroads in N-gauge.

Jim was warm, generous, funny and outgoing, and cared about everyone who came into his life.  He had a fierce love for God first, family second, and animals third.  He also had a great love for his country and his community, as he often volunteered for various church functions and community events.  In later years, he would even volunteer to do things at home that his health would not allow him to do.  He was always loyal to his employers, especially in his last occupation with the Union Pacific (his dream job).  He is already sorely missed.
