Jesus G. Chairez

Jesus G. Chairez, 76, of Amarillo passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020.

Memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Angel Funeral Home.

Jesus was born August 22, 1944 in Zacatecas, Mexico. During his early years, he was a devoted employee at Valley Protein and retired after 30 years of hard work in 1993. He married his loving wife, Anna in 1989 and lived a great life with his wife, family and friends. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, taking care of his family, and had the ability to talk to anyone he met. In his leisure time, you could always find him at Walmart. Jesus was a loving, devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Jorge Chairez, Jose Chairez and Juan Chairez.

Jesus is survived by his wife, Anna Castillo; two daughters, Esmeralda Hermosillo and spouse and Connie Vences and spouse; five sons, Santos Castillo and spouse, Leroy Castillo and spouse, Joe Angel Castillo and spouse, Joaquin Castillo, and Elias Villarreal and spouse; 34 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren, all of Amarillo.

A gathering for family and friends will be held after the memorial service at 5:00 pm, at The Party Suite, 4400 S. Washington.
