Jillian Blair Jones, 21, of Amarillo, left this earthly world on June 4, 2023, and passed into the
arms of her lord Jesus. She was the much loved daughter of Robert C. and Lisa Jones of Amarillo.
Next to her deep love for her family, Jillian had a passion for animals, especially dogs. Her family
has four dogs, all picked out by Jillian. Her favorite was Gus, a loving mixed breed dog who slept with
her and spent most of his time with her. Jillian probably never saw a dog she didn’t love.
Jillian was a talented artist. She specialized in drawing and acrylic painting. When she was
younger, Jillian took gymnastics lessons and showed herself to be a natural athlete. Like her beloved
mother, Jillian enjoyed cooking.
Jillian was a natural beauty, and, like many young women, had a big interest in hairstyles and
makeup. A natural blonde, Jillian might show up with any hair color on any given day.
Jillian was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, R.L. Prescott and wife Carolyn, and
paternal grandfather, J.C. Jones Jr., and paternal step-grandfather, Bryce Marshall, all of Childress, Texas.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Lisa Jones of Amarillo; her grandmother, Roma Marshall, of
Amarillo; her older sisters, Jennifer Booth and husband Shane of Memphis, Texas, Jaclyn Daniel and
husband Bryan of Childress, Texas, and Brandy Crutchfield and husband Shannon of Lubbock, Texas; her
aunts, Cheryl Wakefield of Shamrock, Texas, Jana Comerford and Toni Ingalls, both of Amarillo, and Lori
Scott and husband Gary of Childress, Texas; nieces Jaci Daniel of Wichita Falls, Texas, Aubrey
Worthington and Haylee Crutchfield of Lubbock, Texas, and Brooklynn Barrett of Memphis, Texas;
nephews, Deon Crutchfield, Jay Crutchfield, and Luke Crutchfield, all of Lubbock, Texas, Jacob Daniel
of Childress, Texas, and Bryson Barrett of Memphis, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your favorite animal resue organization in
memory of Jillian.
