John Wayne Bagley

John Wayne Bagley, age 67 of Canyon, died May 5, 2017 in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be held at The Arena of Life Cowboy Church, 8827 S FM 1541, Amarillo, Texas 79118 on Tuesday, May 9th at 2:00 PM. Pastor Travis Bennett will officiate. Cremation arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2200 South Arthur.

John Wayne Bagley was born November 6, 1949 in Hereford, Texas.

John met the Love of his life Karan Wempen in 1983. They married on July 30, 1983. They spent 34 blissful years together. He was a wonderful, loving husband.

John was an avid horseman and a true cowboy. He loved riding in playdays, team pennings, sorting and his favorite, team roping. John starting team roping at the age of 49 and became a great header. He loved all his riding partners, but his most enjoyable was his daughter, Mindy Flow.

John was a wonderful father to four beautiful daughters, Kandy, Kelly Jo, Kristy, and Mindy.

John was a beloved son to Betty Bagley, and Grandson to Joe and Ida Jesko, they preceded him in death as well as his father-in-law, Don Wempen, his son-in-law Brian Curry, and many aunts and uncles, all of whom he is rejoicing with in heaven.

He was survived by his wife Karan; daughters, Kandy Lewandowski and husband Zack of Plano, Kristy Hathcock and husband James, Kelly Jo Curry of Princeton and Mindy Flow and husband Cory of Amarillo; his mother-in-law Glenda Thomas; sister-in-law Lorana Peoples and husband Joel; brother-in-laws Donnie Wempen, and Sam Wempen and wife Carol; his grandkids, Jacob, Josh, Noah, Trevor, Ryan, Colton, Ashley, Jessica, Julia, Amber, Elizabeth and Isabella; numerous nieces and nephews; and his favorite and only son, his dog Clyde.
