John Bailey Laws

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 18th at 7:00 PM at Kingdom Hall, 5141 Canyon Drive.  Glen Lowery and Lynn Robison will officiate the service.  Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home. John Bailey Laws was born April 2, 1930 in Coleman, Texas to William Bryan and Ruby Lee Laws.  John was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Altus Ok in 1973.  He married D’Ann Hayes July 26, 1975.  He enjoyed serving his congregation as an elder for many years and was always regular in the preaching work, telling everyone about the wonderful provisions that Jehovah has for mankind in the future.   He enjoyed music and the outdoors particularly fishing. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy, his grandson Landon; a son Danny and a brother, Bill. Survivors include his wife D’Ann of the home, two children Barbara Spruill and husband Ed and Larry Laws and wife Linda all of Amarillo; and longtime friend James Haynes and wife Betty; Four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and numerous friends old and new.
