Juan Mateo (Sr.) Rosas

Juan Mateo Rosas Sr, age 60, of Amarillo, was called from this life on April 4, 2023.

Juan was born December 27, 1962, in Amarillo to his parents, Lupe and Antonia Rosas.   Juan worked as a custodian for AISD for thirty-one years and had an impeccable work ethic.  The most important thing that he instilled in his children was the importance of family.  He cherished spending time with his parents and felt it was an honor to care for them in their later years, and he grieved profusely when his oldest sister died, as she had been like a second mother to her younger siblings.   Juan adored his children and grandchildren.    Juan was also a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.  He was a selfless man who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need, and his death has left a tremendous void.  He will forever be loved and missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Virginia Rosas.

Juan is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Livar and her husband, Mark; his sons, Juan Rosas Jr and his wife Brittney and Roberto Rosas and his wife Maclovia; his two sisters, Victoria Martinez and Veronica Rosas; his two brothers, David Rosas and Michael Rosas; and his thirteen grandchildren, Alexa, Isabella, Isandro, Matthew, Anthony, Jaidah, Olivia, Karis, Cheyanne, Savannah, Yasmine, Robert II, and Casper.
