Funeral Services will be at 10 AM Thursday, January 21, 2010 in Hillside Christian Church Chapel with Rev. Ken Cargle officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. Family will receive friends 4 PM to 6 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Funeral Home.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. McVay was born March 27, 1943 to Robert and Cecelia Glinski in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She married Mike McVay October 20, 1990 in Amarillo. Linda loved her career as a hairdresser for 23 years at The Cutting Edge. During her last years, she taught all of us who knew and loved her about faith, courage, life and she trusted God’s plan. Not only did she fight a victorious battle, she reached out to other cancer patients with love, support and encouragement. Linda was an active member of Hillside Christian Church.SURVIVORS: Her husband Mike McVay of Amarillo; three sons, Jerry Phillips and wife, Valerie of Nevada, Will Phillips of Amarillo, and David Phillips of Amarillo; one sister, two brothers, four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
