Lola Mae Taylor

November 23, 1934 — November 24, 2019

Lola Mae Hiberd Taylor joyfully met her beloved Savior on November 24, 2019, when she peacefully took her last breath surrounded by her loving family.

Lola was born on November 23, 1934 in Durant, Oklahoma to James Lowell and Minnie Mae Hiberd. She met and married her one true love, John Henry Taylor on March 8, 1952. They were blessed with four boys, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Lola was a devoted follower of God, volunteering much of her time to the church, teaching adults and children about the love of Jesus. She loved to cook and filled many bellies over the years. She was passionate about crocheting, making everything from hot pads to baby blankets and super hero capes. Most of all, she loved to read her Bible. She found peace in the true word of God.

She is survived by a strong legacy of her sons, Tommy Roy Taylor and wife Marie, Johnny Lee Taylor and wife Sherry, Ricky Ray Taylor and wife Barbara, 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, brother James Douglas Hiberd and her youngest son, Timothy Gene Taylor.

While we rejoice that she is eternally home, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Our sweet and beautiful Lola.

Heartfelt thanks to Legacy Living, especially Maxine Riley (her loving roommate) and Open Heart Hospice.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
