Mambrye Carie Vallejo-King, 39, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2018 at Angel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Comanche Trails Church of Christ, 2700 E. 34th Ave. in Amarillo. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Mambrye was born on July 30, 1978 in Amarillo to Michael and Mary King. At the time of her birth, she was born three months premature. At that time, doctors told her parents that she would not survive. Her family and friends were blessed by 39 years of love and fierceness. Mambrye was a 1996 graduate of Caprock High School. She then went on to earn a bachelor degree from West Texas A&M University where she also completed some graduate course work. Mambyre was employed at AIG as a fraud specialist. She was an avid book reader. Mambrye was a member of Comanche Trails Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfathers, Jackie Eugene Forbis and Orsborn Williams; and her paternal grandparents, Bud and Ann King.
Mambrye is survived by her husband, Murray Junod of Amarillo; three daughters, Brittany Baker and husband Jeff, Adrianna Vallejo, and Annanda Vallejo-King, all of Amarillo; two sons, Alejandro Vallejo-King and Francisco Vallejo-King, both of Amarillo; her parents, Michael and Mary King of Amarillo; two brothers, Mike King Jr. and wife Dallas of Monte Vista, Colorado; and Marc King of Amarillo; her maternal grandmother, Bettie Forbis of Amarillo; one granddaughter, Brooklynn Baker of Amarillo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
