Manuela Cristina Gutierrez

Manuela Cristina Gutierrez, age 69, of Amarillo, died surrounded by her family on May 22, 2024.
    
The Memorial Mass will be on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Father Jose Gomez will be the celebrant.  Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.
  
Manuela was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, on May 11, 1955, to her parents, Isidro and Cruz Rascon.  She met Eduardo in El Paso in 1978 and moved to Amarillo, Texas, in 1980.  Manuela married Eduardo in Amarillo on March 24, 1984, and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She was a homemaker for 46 years and a dental assistant for 2 years.  She loved dogs and cats and watching her Spanish soap operas.  She enjoyed crafting and making beautiful needlepoint works.  Also, she enjoyed traveling with her husband.  She had an online community of friends with whom she greatly enjoyed visiting.

Manuela was preceded in death by her father, Isidro Rascon.

She was survived by her husband of 46 years; a daughter, Natalie Gutierrez; two sons, Anthony Gutierrez and Andrew Gutierrez; her mother, Cruz Munoz-Rascon; five sisters and three brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
