Mary Ann Leppert

March 31, 1957 — October 20, 2012

Mary Ann Leppert, 55, of Amarillo died October 20, 2012.

Memorial services will be held at 10AM, Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Angel Funeral Home Chapel of the Angels with Msgr. Harold Waldow of St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral officiating. Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Angel Funeral Home Chapel of the Angels.

Mary Ann was born on March 31, 1957 in Casa Grande, Arizona, and lost her battle against breast cancer in the comfort of her home, while surrounded by family on October 20, 2012.

In all MaryAnn had multiple forms of cancer throughout the course of 25+ years, all of which she successfully overcame until nine years ago when her battle against breast cancer began. She fought hard as the cancer progressed and started spreading into her bones three years ago. Those who knew her would agree that to have known her was to have known strength, and to have known courage, and to have seen beauty at its greatest.

A graduate of Dumas High, MaryAnn moved to Amarillo in the late 70's, where she attended Amarillo College. She met the love of her life, her husband of thirty-three years, Larry Leppert, and was married on February 14, 1979. She said she was lucky to have married a wonderful man, have a large, loving family, great friends, and to have had many good times and happy memories. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and nothing we could say can truly capture the essence that was MaryAnn Perez Leppert.

MaryAnn is preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Annie Perez and her brother Antonio Matthews Perez Jr.

She is survived by her husband Larry Leppert; son Chris Anglin and wife Michelle of Amarillo; daughter Jennifer and husband Jermey Sparks of Crosbyton; daughter Cherish and husband David Holland of Amarillo; and twelve grandchildren.
