Melva (Maria) Dean Vaughn Morrison

Melva Dean (Maria) Vaughn Morrison, 85, of Amarillo died November 19, 2020.

Maria was born January 23, 1935 in Fannin County, TX. She was an LVN most of her life and was dedicated to taking care of the elderly.

She is survived by sons, Vance Morrison and wife, Greta of Amarillo, Brent Morrison of Amarillo and Scott Morrison of Portales, NM; daughter-in-law, Linda of Amarillo; sister, Lucy Tilley of Sanger, CA; brother, John Vaughn of 9 Mile Falls, WA; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Maria is preceded in death by son, Stanley Charles Morrison; mother, Cordelia Ann Vaughn; and brothers, Bill and David Vaughn.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials he made to Palo Duro Nursing Home, P.O. Box 786, Claude, TX 79019.

The family would also like to thank the nursing staff at Palo Duro Nursing Home, for their excellent care of Maria.
