Services will be on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur.  Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery

Mrs. Martinez was content by herself.  Her home was where she was happiest, being independent and headstrong.  Mrs. Martinez kept herself busy with activities that pleased her and she wanted to do.  Yet, she did welcome those who visited for a little while.

Our mother loved cooking, baking, and working in the yard.  We were lucky that she would help care for her grandchildren when needed.  Most of all, Mother was happiest at home, in the perfect world she created there.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Epifanio C. Martinez, in 2013; by her parents, Mr and Mrs. Julian Baldez Sr.; her siblings, Minga Garcia of Planview; Julian Leal Baldez of Modesto, California, who recently passed on September 23, 2023, and Rogelio Leal Baldez also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Martinez is survived by her eldest daughter, Ms. Nelda Martinez; Nelda's five sons and nine grandchildren; her son, Mr. Ruben Martinez; Ruben's two daughters, his two sons, and five grandchildren; her youngest; last but not least, Mr. Fabian Martinez Sr, along with his daughter, three sons, and four grandchildren.  Mrs.Martinez is also survived by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, totaling twelve who are left.  Mrs.Martinez was the last of her siblings.
