Natividad Varela

A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, January 12th, at 6:00 P.M. at Angel Funeral Home.  Pastor Spike Maldonado officiated.  Arrangements were by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur, Amarillo, TX.Natividad had been a resident of Amarillo since 1976.  He accepted Jesus into his heart in 1977 and was a godly Christian man. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Anna Maria, and a beloved father and grandfather. Natividad enjoyed his entire family including many nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly. He was surrounded by family and friends who will miss his sense of humor, which helped carry him through until the end. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.  His final resting place will be with his parents in San Agustin, Mexico.He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Anna Maria Varela of Amarillo, TX; his daughter, Rosario Nash and husband, Rick, of The Woodlands, TX; his son, Raul “Roy” Varela and wife, Ginny, and their two daughters, Kristen and Lauren Varela all of Amarillo, TX; his daughter, Carolina Saunders and husband, Mark, and their son, Liam Saunders all of Houston, TX; and his five brothers and four sisters.
