Olga Casanova, 65, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024. She was born August 5, 1959, to Andy Baldes and Delia Dominguez in Clovis, New Mexico.
Olga married Jesse Casanova in Liberal, Kansas, and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage. In 1998, they moved to Amarillo from Muleshoe, Texas. Throughout their life together, Olga and Jesse found joy in each other's company.
Olga was a devoted wife who took her responsibilities seriously. She was understanding, caring and deeply loved her family. Olga was steadfast, honest, and always available to lend a hand. She enjoyed sipping on a cup of coffee or iced water.
Her children and grandchildren adored her. She would braid the girls' hair, help them with schoolwork, and plan fun activities at the park. Olga had a passion for cooking and relished celebrating the holidays with her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Sylvia Munoz, and two grandchildren.
Survived by her husband, Jesse; daughters Kristy Sena, Lucinda Sena, Jessica Casanova and Gloria Casanova; sons, Anthony Casanova and Jesse Casanova Jr.; sisters, Debbie Cordova, Michelle Munoz, and Gloria Baldes; brothers, Robert Munoz and Richard Munoz; Rosalinda De La Cruz and her husband, Cruz Huerta, whom Olga considered a bonus daughter; grandchildren, Lexi, Samantha, Taylor, Elijah, Felicita, Andrew, R.J., Johnny, Matthew, Angel, Josiah, Yaslin, Itcyana, Ezekiel, Isaac, Mariah, Jaydin, Isabella, Lorenzo, Alazay, Emilio, Danielle Huerta, Cruzin Huerta, and one on the way; and eight great-grandchildren.
