Philip F. Henson, Sr. was born April 18, 1928 in Laurel, Maryland, where he was also raised. On June 18, 2009, he went home to be with the Lord Mr. Henson served his country from 1947 until 1951 with the United States Army, stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. He worked as a Plant Manager at the Sherman Williams Paint Company in Baltimore, Maryland. The past six months, Mr. Henson has resided in Amarillo with his son and family. He was an avid coin collector, NASCAR fan, and enjoyed watching vintage cars race at the drag strip. His eldest son Philip Henson, Jr. preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Sue of Amarillo; his daughter Cathy Wohl of Virginia Beach, VA; his son Michael Henson of Halethorpe, MD; his son Gregory Henson of York, PA; and his son Norman Henson of Amarillo.
