Phyllis Balfour, 88, of Amarillo died August 5, 2015.
Family will be receiving visitors on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at 3536 Marsh Place. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur Street.
Phyllis was born June 12, 1927 in Amarillo, to Vernon and Edna May Gray. She founded Balfour Optical and served as a Bible teacher at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Henry Balfour and a daughter, Janice Balfour Le Grand.
She is survived by a daughter, Cherry Bennert and husband Jeff; two sisters, Mary Griffin of MI and Jeanette Balfour of Pottsboro, TX; one brother, Philip Gray of Huntsville, AL and two grandchildren, Dana McLemore and Coral Andrade.
Family suggests memorials be made to Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society, 3501 S Osage St, Amarillo, TX 79118.
