Ramiro Hinojosa-Roman

Ramiro Roman-Hinojosa, 84, of Amarillo, Tx, passed away on Tuesday September 23, 2019 peacefully in the comfort of his home. He lived in Amarillo since 1993.

The funeral service will be held at St. Lawrence Cathedral on Friday September 27, 2019 at 02:00 pm. Father Shane Wieck will be officiating the service. Visitation will be held at Angel Funeral Home on Thursday September 26, 2019. Rosary will be held at 06:00pm on Sep. 26, 2019. Burial will follow the funeral at Llano Cemetery at 03:00pm following the mass. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Angel Funeral Home.

Ramiro was born in El Suchil, Durango Mexico on January 25, 1935. He married Martha Guadalupe Sustaita Hinojosa on January 16, 1956; they were married 63 years.

Ramiro worked as a bartender for 30 years and as a maintenance man at Ramada Inn until he retired. He enjoyed playing music, singing with his guitar, working in his garden, and enjoyed playing with all his grandchildren. He was always so happy surrounded by his family and always had a smile for everyone. He was always trying to feed anyone he came across.

He is survived by his wife Martha G. Hinojosa and their nine children; Juan Manuaela Hinojosa, Blanca and Robert Mendoza, Jose Luis and Rosalba Hinojosa, Armando and Maria Hinojosa, Jaime and Elisa Hinojosa, Cesar and Mayte Hinojosa, Lilia and Lorenzo Pina, Juan G. and Maribel Hinojosa, Benjamin and Claudia Hinojosa, twenty-seven grandchildren, and twenty-eight great grandchildren who will forever love and miss him. He is preceded in death by his mother Blasa Hinojosa, his brother Juan Hinojosa, and his son and wife Ramiro and Luz Maria Hinojosa.

Ramiro was such a blessing to anyone who knew him. He will always be loved and remembered by his beautiful smile, precious words of advise, and loving personality. May he rest in peace until we meet him one day again.
