Raul Jose Fernandez

Raul Jose Fernandez, age 82 of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on April 22, 2023.

Visitation will be at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur, on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 7:30 PM. The family will lead a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at  Angel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday, May 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Power Church, with Pastor Manny De Los Santos officiating.

Raul was born on May 2, 1940, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Roman and Maria Fernandez.

He was a very hard worker. Raul was a very soft-spoken man that was caring and loving. He exhibited great patience and always saw the positive in any situation. Any time something may not go the way it should, Raul would say, “Everything always works out.” Raul had a gentle soul; it was said that he wouldn’t even hurt a fly.

Raul was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

He was survived by one brother, Juan Fernandez, and wife, Maria Fernandez of Corpus Christi; sister-in-law Maria Elena Fernandez of Corpus Christi; lots of nieces and nephews; a great nephew with whom he lived for over 11 years, Eric Martinez and Lupita Ramirez, He will be missed by many extended loving family members.
