Raymond David Whatley

A Memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30th at Sanborn Baptist Church, 609 S. Osage. Rev. Robert Lucero will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Dave was born on April 18, 1947 in Brownwood, TX, to Barney Hubert and Frances Marie Duffer Whatley. He graduated from Permian High School in 1965 and went on to attend West Texas University. Dave worked as a salesman selling cars and selling music related items at different times in his life. He loved to play golf and enjoyed cooking. He especially loved music and was a drummer in his own band. Dave attended Sanborn Baptist Church and was formerly a Sunday school teacher. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.He is survived by his sister; Jeanelle Saylor and husband, Rod of Amarillo; his niece, nephew and his aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Texas Kidney Association, 1720 East Whitestone Boulevard, Cedar Park, TX 78613-7640.
