Rebecca Lyn Pesina

Rebecca “Becky” Pesina, 62, of Amarillo died Monday, April 8, 2013.

Celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Angel Funeral Home Chapel of Angels.  Officiant will be Pastor Spike Maldonado.  Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.

Becky was born April 18, 1950 in Hereford to Michael and Lydia Elliott.  She grew up in Hereford and attended Hereford High School.  Mrs, Pesina then attended Amarillo College and graduated with a teaching degree.  She married Domingo Pesina in 1998.  She was employed at Children's Learning Development Centers from 1995 to 2010 and was the executive director of Hagy Day Care Center from 1997 to 2010.  She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, travel and betting at the casinos.  Becky loved her job at the day care and was loved by all.  She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her father; an uncle, Nathan Hopson; and her grandparents, Alfred and Lydia Hopson

Survivors include her husband; a son, Matthew Elliott of Elk City, OK; two step-sons, Domingo Pesina III and wife Marsha of Amarillo, and Michael Pesina and wife Saphire of Denver, CO; her mom, Lydia Jean Elliott of Amarillo; a brother, Dane Elliott and wife Barbara of Nucla, CO; a daughter-in-law, Kelsey Elliott of Oklahoma City, OK; a cousin, Laci Elliott of South Dakota; and ten grandchildren.
