Robert “Bobby” Edward Steele Sr “The Real Steele”, age 63 of Amarillo passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his children.
Public viewing will be held on Thursday, January 20 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur. The funeral will be held at 12:00 PM noon on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Power Church, 1344 SE 10 th Avenue. Pastor Manny De Los Santos will officiate. Burial will follow at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.
Bobby was born in Colorado Springs on November 23, 1958 to his parents, Robert Andrew Sr. and Virginia Ornelas Steele. After high school he served in the US Marines.
To know Bobby was to love him. He had a passion for boxing that continued throughout his life. He also loved to dance and loved them Dallas Cowboys! Despite his hardships he lived life to the fullest. He made sure that those around him knew they were loved and cherished especially his grandchildren. Bobby’s faith in Jesus was strong and he lived his life as an example to others by loving, accepting, and more importantly always seeing the good in others. He had a powerful presence, a strong man that was highly respected in the community. He was one of a kind with a huge heart and now he is focusing on Jesus. Bobby will be missed and forever loved by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bobby is lovingly survived by his three daughters, Michelle Ledezma, Elizabeth Steele of Corpus Christi and Andrea Flores of Amarillo; his sons, Robert Edward Steele Jr of Corpus Christi, Anthony Chavez of Pueblo, Colorado and Manuel Steele of Amarillo; his four sisters, Debra Rodgers of Perryton, TX, Paula Luna and Sonja Wilson both Amarillo; and Sandra Heard of Many, Louisiana; four brothers, John Steele, Thomas Steele Sr., Paul Carrasco all of Amarillo, and Robert Andrew Steele Jr of Many, Louisiana; his step-father, Richard Ramirez; his many deeply loved grandchildren; and his “furr” kids, Jackie Blackie and Tiny Teddy.
