Rosalie Clark

Rosalie Clark, age 69, of Amarillo, entered the gates of Heaven on February 11, 2023.

Rosalie was born on July 17, 1953, in Hartford City, Indiana, to her parents, Cecil and Alnova Schwarzkopf.

She graduated from Nimitz High School in Irving, TX. She married Thomas F. Clark on March 31, 1984, in Dallas, TX.  That was the beginning of a journey that would last over the next thirty-eight years and grow with two beautiful daughters. She ran a childcare business until the family made Amarillo their home in 1994.

Rosalie loved to spend her time sewing and doing crafts. Anyone that knew her would say that she was very feisty. But nothing could compare to the love that she had for her grandchildren. They even had a special nickname for her, “Lady Gaga,” and they would say she was the original Gaga.

Her parents, Cecil and Alnova, and brother-in-law David Thomas preceded her in death.

Rosalie is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Clark; her two daughters, Autumn Venable, Samantha and her husband Zach Irvin. Her brother Phillip and wife Ruth Schwarzkopf of Iowa; two sisters, Elaine Thomas, Ranella and husband Randy Griggs, all from Indiana; her grandchildren, Jasmine McCauley, Layton Emerson, Brady Venable; grand dogs, Lupin and Jon Snow Irvin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank Lisa, Mandy, and Jennifer for their compassion and care that they provided for Rosalie.
