Rusty (Edward) Glassey

Rusty (Edward Daniel) Glassey, 64, of Amarillo passed away January 25, 2020.

Memorial service will be February 22, 2020, 1:00 pm at Harvest Connexion, 4808 S Bonham, Amarillo TX, with Bobby Glassey officiating. Arrangements by Angel Funeral Home.

Rusty Glassey was born February 10, 1955 in Cheyenne OK to RV and Bernadine Glassey.  He was one of seven children.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.  He attended Perryton High School.  Rusty spent the majority of his working life in the oilfield.  He was a roughneck and driller for a variety of companies in Texas and Oklahoma.  He later obtained his CDL and drove all across the United States.  He had retired and resided in Amarillo since 2011.

Survived by one brother, Bobby Glassey of Marshall TX and four sisters Francis Threadgill of McLean TX, Ann Glover, Jesse Rush, and Valonda Richardson of Chickasha OK.  He had three children.  Daughters Misty Ondelacy and husband Jim of North Richland Hills; Christina Pittman and husband Eric of Amarillo.  Son Joe Don Glassey and wife Jordan of Bedford.  7 grandchildren: Trenton Barrett; Katherine, Michael, and Marcus Ondelacy, Kelli Ondelacy-Kasberg, and Jackson and Jenson Glassey.
