Santiago "Chagoose" J. Campuzano

Santiago J. “Chagoose” Campuzano, age 31 of Amarillo, died suddenly on November 18, 2023 in Amarillo.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Angel Funeral Home, located at 2209 South Arthur. The funeral service will be on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Angel Funeral Home.  The interment will be at Llano Cemetery.

Chago was born on July 25, 1992, in Amarillo to his parents, Alfredo and Rafaela Campuzano. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School and had a keen interest in Chemistry. After completing high school, he attended culinary school and became an excellent cook.

Though he was often seen as cocky and overly confident, he was a fabulous, caring, and funny person who adored his children. Chago was an excellent brother, father, uncle, and friend. Like everyone, he had flaws but was never sad and always strived to make the world a better place. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents. He was a wonderful father figure to Anthony.

Chago is survived by his partner in life, Cynthia Lopez; his daughter, Caeli Anahi; his sons, Yariel Santiago and Romeo Ray; his sisters, Crystal Campuzano and Diana Campuzano; his brothers, Julio, Anthony, Pollo, Jose, Marc, Cesar, and Victor;  his nieces, Sapphire, Ricky and Jade; and his nephew, Gilberto.
