Shirley Anne Henson

Shirley Anne Henson, 88, of Amarillo, left this world for her Heavenly home on November 18, 2024.

A Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 E Interstate 40, with Dr Alan Burkhalter of Chaparral Baptist Church presiding.

Shirley was born on June 11, 1936, in Birch Harbor, Maine, to Lewis Frederick and Alice Annette Temple. She and her family relocated to Amarillo in 1956.

Shirley enjoyed reading the Bible and shopping. She was a member of T.O.P.S. and attended Chaparral Baptist Church. She also enjoyed dancing, which led her to meet Sherman Henson. They married on August 10, 2002. She was simply the best mother and wife.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Marshall, Freddy, Bernice, Elanor, and Elizabeth, all of Maine, her daughter Renee Beth Wineinger, granddaughter Kristan Anne Hill, grandson Garrison Pool; and son in law Rusty Eckels. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Sherman, children Charles Don Craven, Larry Gene Craven, and Koenia Annette Eckels, bonus children James Henson, Rebecca Pool, Kathy Henson, and Vicki Crowe, and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
