Thomas Contreras

Thomas Contreras, 38, of Amarillo passed away peacefully on July 9, 2022.

The family will receive guests on July 15, 2022 from 9am to 12pm at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur. A celebration of life service will follow at 2pm in the funeral home’s Chapel of Angels with Jacob Upshaw presiding. Arrangements are in the care of Angel Funeral Home of Amarillo.

Thomas was born on August 25, 1983 in Amarillo, Texas to Arturo and Anna (Almanza) Contreras. He was a 2003 graduate of Caprock High School and attended Trinity Fellowship Church. Thomas was loyal to a fault. He genuinely looked for the good in everyone and was everyone’s biggest cheerleader. Thomas legitimately got more excited for you than you.

He didn’t do everything right all the time, but it always worked out for the best. Most of the time, he just figured it out as he went along. Before his health began to decline, he was trying his best to work his way up professionally and personally.

Thomas is preceded in death by his mother. Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter Navaeh Contreras and son Thomas Luis Contreras, brother Nick Perez; uncles Manuel and Valentin Almanza, and aunt Alma Granados as well as many other loving family and dear friends.
