Tommy Dean Mullican, 85, of Amarillo, gained his wings, on March 28, 2025, surrounded by his adoring family. We take solace in knowing that he rejoins the love of his life, Pat, who preceded him in death on July 29, 2021. There hasn’t been a day since that he didn’t miss her and prayed to be with her again, a wish that has finally come true.
A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 10 am in the Angel Funeral Home’s Chapel of Angels, with Revered Chris Condit of Hillside Christian Church presiding.
Tommy was born in Grandsaline, Texas on August 7, 1939, to Bill and Florence (Howard) Mullican. Tommy was a very proud man and believed in work and achieving all that was good. He proudly worked for 25 years at Piggly Wiggly, another 15 years with Roberts Paper Company, and was a partner with his best friend Tu at T&V Motors.
He was a family man, a traveling man, but most of all, he was always a gentle man. Tommy was the proud father of Tawnya Rodriguez, Darren Mullican, two grandsons, Landon Mullican and Colby Rodriguez, three great grandsons, Bryson, Cale, and Laken; and proudly raised his nephew Daniel Early. He loved his sister-in-law and sparring partner, Sharon Cox, and his many nieces and nephews. Tommy is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Pat, his parents, Bill and Florence, brothers James, Billy and Wayne, and his best friend Tu.
