Victoria M. (Mendoza) Rocha

Victoria M. Rocha, 77, of Amarillo passed peacefully into the arms of God the Father on March 25, 2022 at home surrounded by her adoring family.

The family will receive guests from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1210 SE 11th in Amarillo. Rosary will begin at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the church on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 11am with Father Jose Gomez presiding. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Following the graveside service, the family will gather at Our Lady of Guadalupe fellowship hall for a celebration of Victoria's life.

Victoria was born on December 23, 1944 in Mexico to Raymond and Agripina (Martinez) Mendoza. On November 20, 1966, she married Refugio "Cuco" Rocha in Dimmitt, TX. Together they raised their daughter Brinda in Hereford, TX before finally staking their roots in Amarillo. She was a devoted and faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for many years where she served as a Guadalupana and worked in the Cursillo Movement as a Rectora. She served her church as a Euchrist Minister and many other positions until her health declined. She cherished and adored her beloved family and was "Madrina" to many of her nieces, nephews, and other children of the church.

Victoria was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jose "Nieves", Marcello, and Jesus Mendoza. Those left to cherish her memories are her beloved husband Cuco, daughter Brinda Salayandia and husband Ricardo Sr, sisters Olivia, Cecilia, Dora, Minnie, Amparo, Estella, and Angie; and brothers Armando, Elias, and Lupe. Victoria also leaves behind a legacy of four grandchildren Ricardo and wife Brenda, Lupita, Christian and wife Zarai, Oscar and wife Christiana; as well as her great-grandchildren Arianna, Bella, Luke, Mia, Landen, Madison, Avah, Avery, Lincoln, and Amara, and Aleida. Victoria was blessed with many God Children whom she was fortunate to baptize in Christ, as well as many other loving family and dear friends.
