Virginia "Ginna" Kennedy

Virginia “Ginna” Kennedy, age 54, of Amarillo passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.

Memorial Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Angel Funeral Home, Chapel of Angels, 2209 S. Arthur.

On July 28th, 2018, a beautiful soul left this Earth. Ginna Kennedy A.K.A. “The Schwan’s Girl” A.K.A. “Kool-Aid Mom” was the best mom and friend anyone could ask for. She was always selfless and just wanted to make everyone’s day a little better. Her kindness wasn’t just limited to people, but animals as well. Her chihuahua, Blazer Kennedy, was more of a son than a dog to her. Being born and raised in San Diego, California, she left her mark by becoming the first girl on an all boys little league team. Even though she spent the last 20 years in Texas, her heart and soul were at the beach. She loved collecting sea shells and anything that reminded her of home. She did not leave this world alone. Her hands were held by her youngest son and her daughter, while her 15 year old chihuahua lay in her lap. There is no doubt that her soul found its way to a beautiful shore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Raymond Richard Kennedy; and her sister, Beatrice McCuen.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Charles “Donny” Craven; her daughter, Courtney Michelle Gray; her sons, Jarrid Anthony Gray and Raymond Stanton Weatherly, all of Amarillo; her sisters, Deborah Hook and Colleen Polley, both of San Diego, CA; her brother, Roby Kennedy of Palm Harbor, FL.; and her grandchildren, Roman and Liliana.
